Attractive locations

El Arco (Arch of Cabo San Lucas)

Natural rock arch at the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula, where the Pacific Ocean meets the Gulf of California. Boats and water taxis from the marina run past it.

Cabo Pulmo National Park

Marine park on the East Cape known for one of the healthiest coral reefs in the Gulf of California. Snorkelling and diving here show fish schools, turtles and rays, and the area is remote.

Historic mission church beside the main plaza of San José del Cabo, founded by Spanish missionaries in the 1700s. The plaza and nearby streets make a pleasant walk in the old town.

Museum of Natural History, Cabo San Lucas

Small museum in Cabo San Lucas presenting the wildlife and natural history of Baja California Sur. A quiet indoor stop that helps explain the desert and marine environment around the resort towns.

Cabo San Lucas

A resort town at the tip of the Baja peninsula, with a busy marina, beaches and boat tours to the rock arch at Land's End. Whale watching is possible in winter.

Todos Santos

A quiet town on Baja's Pacific coast with art galleries, small shops and leafy streets around a central plaza. Surf beaches lie nearby, and it makes a relaxed day trip from Los Cabos.
