Attractive locations

Morne Seychellois National Park

Forested mountain park covering much of the interior of Mahé, with hiking trails through misty highland forest, rare plants and viewpoints looking down to the coast.

Morne Seychellois

The highest peak in the Seychelles, a granite mountain rising above Mahé's forests. Hiking routes lead toward the summit area, with wide views over the island on clear days.

Morne Blanc

Granite peak in the hills of western Mahé, climbed by a steep forest trail. The walk ends at a lookout with views over the west coast and the sea.

Silhouette Island

Mountainous island northwest of Mahé, mostly covered by national park forest and reached by boat. Visitors come for hiking trails, quiet beaches and wildlife.

Beau Vallon

Mahe's busiest beach, a wide curve of sand on the northwest coast with calm water and sunset views. Water sports, beachside cafes and a weekly evening market add to the lively feel.

Anse Intendance

A wide, wild beach on Mahe's southern tip with fine sand and strong surf. Swimming can be dangerous when waves are high, but the setting is scenic and quiet.

Port Launay Marine National Park

A protected stretch of coast and bay on Mahe's west side, with coral and fish close to shore. Calm water and mangroves make it suitable for snorkelling.
