Attractive locations

Casela World of Adventures

Wildlife and activity park on the west coast, with walking safaris, animals including big cats and giraffes, and zip lines. A popular option for families on a day out.

Tamarind Falls

Series of waterfalls in the forested interior above the west coast. Reaching the best views usually means a guided walk through forest, and the water drops into pools set among tropical greenery.

Baie du Tamarin

Wide bay on the west coast known for its surf breaks and for dolphin-watching trips from the village. Local salt pans lie nearby, and the water is often rough outside the calm season.

La Preneuse

Beach on the west coast south of Flic en Flac, with views over the Indian Ocean and good sunsets. A quieter stretch than the busier beach towns, and suitable for a walk or swim.

Trois Mamelles

Mountain with three rounded peaks rising above the west coast. Hikes lead to the ridge, giving wide views over the Tamarin area and the sea. Paths can be steep and slippery after rain.

Airports

Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport MRU

Plaine Magnien, Mauritius

It is about 37 km in a straight line from Flic en Flac.
